Cassie has been a church musician in one way or another since she was 8 years old, having sung in and directed many church choirs, both children's and adult. She comes to us from Beloit, Wisconsin, to be near her sister and far away from the harsh Wisconsin winters ... and for the food!
Cassie taught Public School Music for 30 years in Michigan and Wisconsin, teaching students from kindergarten through High School. This included 16 years working with the high school musicals and four years with the middle school musicals. She taught Elementary Music, and Middle School Choir, General Music and Special Education Music. She still teaches piano and voice in her home studio.
Cassie has two grown children, Kim (a college professor) and Jason (an airline pilot) and four beloved granddaughters.
In addition to her musical duties, Cassie takes care of three cats and one spoiled dog. Well, the cats are spoiled, too.

The Forgiven praise team formed in the summer of 2012 when First United Methodist Church of Beeville had the opportunity to host youth interns from the Lydia Patterson Institute. “The Lydia Patterson Institute is a Methodist Christian college-preparatory school located in El Paso, Texas, United States. Founded in 1913, it offers programs for Spanish-speaking children, primarily from Juarez, to attend high school in the United States and attend an American undergraduate university. All high school classes are taught in English, and the school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.” (Cited from The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools)
The students were musically gifted and several played instruments, so they joined with a couple of adults from FUMC and began playing a few songs on Sunday mornings. After their return to El Paso the church was left with a guitar player and lead vocalist, so the search began for musicians, and within a few months The Forgiven Praise Team became a regular part of Sunday morning worship! Now, the band is blessed with enough musicians to allow for some rotation of worship schedules every week. They are active in the Coastal Bend area and participate ecumenically with local churches and the Windmill Emmaus community.
Band members include: George Fiegel- Lead Guitar and Vocals, Tori Shay - Vocals, Alexis Rodriguez- Vocals, Mike Fox – Percussion, Paula Sands Morgan - Bass Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Auxiliary instuments, and Vocals, Wally Tegge - Keyboard/Piano, Todd Fuller- Guitar and Vocals, Leanne Fox- A/V Tech, Troy Draper- Sound Tech
